Supply Chain Analyst

The Supply Chain Analyst provides specific systems analysis related to the development and maintenance of an enterprise Materials Management Information System throughout PMH entities.  Applies knowledge of hospital purchasing and inventory control applications to ensure effective and optimal use of current applications, incorporating refinements in applications based on organizational changes or process improvements.  Participates in all phases of large and small projects.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Maintains competence in the proper operation and optimal use of the Material Management Information System (MMIS).
  • Provides administrative support of the Material Resources enterprise-wide database management systems to ensure data integrity and proper system functioning.  Designs, creates, monitors, and tunes databases in accordance with generally accepted database principles and to ensure optimal performance.  
  • Uses technical, business and accounting principles in addressing problems of system integration, and performance in a multi-platform networked environment.
  • Independently and proactively identifies and resolves complex problems and issues associated with enterprise wide applications to ensure high levels of application availability and user satisfaction.  Maintains high levels of contact with key management, application managers, and site directors to ensure communication, collaboration, and teamwork
  • Educates and trains key members of the implementation team and users to ensure continuity in enterprise application support and effective use of enterprise applications by users and supported by Material Resources staff.
  • Undertakes ad-hoc assignments as required to react quickly and positively to new or emergent situations. Demonstrates the ability to assist in project management and product conversions ensuring data integrity.
  • Performs various bulk purchases and project assignments, benefit realization, re-engineering processes often in conjunction with Finance Department.


Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent experience. 

Minimum Experience: Two years healthcare experience. Understanding of key business applications and related information technologies. Ability to meet tight deadlines. Proven analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong computer skills. Experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud, Cerner, etc. preferred. Previous Supply Chain experience preferred.
