Purchasing Clerk - Per Diem, Variable (Hollywood)

The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for providing administrative/ clerical support to the Purchasing Coordinator for the daily workload including following up with vendors, quoting products, filling and packaging of invoices for submission to Finance. Data entry of assets in the company asset management database. Assist the Facilities department and Business Services in caring for the varied needs of the facility itself, including but not limited to minor repair and maintenance of workstations and equipment.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Responsible for the administrative support of the Facilities Purchasing Coordinator and adhere to the company’s policy and procedures for all company purchases.
  • Assist with vendor calls, follow ups, request for quotes, pricing verifications, filing and invoice packaging of purchase orders for Finance.
  • Data entry and bookkeeping of assets in the company’s asset management database per the company’s policy and procedures.
  • Running active asset reports for Facilities and Finance as needed.
  • Assist with mail room duties including the pickup, delivery, sorting, date stamping and batching of incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Filing, copying, bulk mailings and projects as needed.
  • Daily operation of basic office equipment such as copiers, faxes, and postage meter. Identify and correct problems with office machines, call repair personnel as needed.


Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience: Professional appearance and demeanor. Basic computer skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
