Job Description

Director of Revenue Analysis

The Director of Revenue Analysis (DRA) is the key point of contact for revenue cycle, and are partnered and co-located with the respective CFO and/or finance leadership for each hospital entity.  The DRA is the conduit for communication and resolution of any revenue cycle issues.  They are also responsible for ensuring that all A/R is valued appropriately prior to each month end, as well as researching and resolving questions about expected reimbursement, bad debt reserves, and exceptions.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Responsible for the analysis of bad debt and items/trends that significantly impact net revenue.
  • Work with hospital leadership on revenue cycle issues.  Work with hospital departments to resolve revenue cycle issues (e.g., orders, charging, Patient Access, DNFB, disputes, etc.).
  • Support/Coordinate/Monitor the following:  Department Head meetings, Chart Audit meet Compliance Committees, Charge Master review/updates, pass through invoice retrieval, Complex (e.g., ‘High $” or “At-Risk”) in-house patient meetings, Hospital Revenue Cycle Implementation Initiatives, Internal/External Audit Assistance, Engaging Legal for Collection Issues.
  • Responsible for the review/adjudication of Revenue Reclasses, Non-Contractual Adjustments, Refunds, Charity Applications and Professional Courtesy Discounts.


Minimum Education: BA/BS in Business, Health Administration or related degree preferred.

Minimum Experience: Eight or more (8+ ) years in A/R Management and/or Managed Care contracting and analysis as well as experience directing a multi-facility business office.
