Director, Clinical Operations - PMCA

Directly responsible for managing day to day clinic operations to ensure the staff model clinics delivering operational, quality, and financial goals and metrics.



Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Manages clinic’s multiple departments including scheduling, call center, credentialing and compliance, clinic services, EMR, quality performance, and IT, and provides leadership, mentoring and management to department leads and managers while using tools to measure progress on metrics. Coordinates on-site trainings as needed. Ensures consistency in communication and standardization of procedures across multiple clinics. Evaluates and adjusts staff compensation packages to support changes in the marketplace and company goals. 
  • Maintains and monitors monthly dashboard to ensure key metrics are met by each clinic, including but not limited to:  patient access, HEDIS and Pay for Performance metrics, accurate HCC coding and chart documentation, patient satisfaction scores, clinic P&L and productivity.  Implements corrective actions as needed to attain & maintain goals. Primary contact for all audits, maintaining clinics in compliance with all company, payor, licensing and regulatory requirements and promptly addressing any corrective action plans. 
  • Builds and maintains productive intradepartmental relationships with corporate department leads (including, but not limited to IT, Claims, Contracting, Medical Management, Performance Programs, Network Management) to enable effective and timely problem resolution and communication.  Acts as a resource to department management for answering/researching questions with regard to clinic operations.
  • In conjunction with leadership & in alignment with company goals, recommends, develops and manages growth plans for clinics:  patient lives, new locations, new service lines, payor mix, etc.  Solicits new payor agreements, where appropriate.  
  • Support and lead other internal operational projects as directed.


Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in health care administration or business operations preferred.

Minimum Experience: Minimum five to seven (5-7) years’ physician practice and clinic operations, with leadership experience and knowledge required. Extensive experience in healthcare administration with a proven track record of successfully leading primary care and urgent care practice. Healthcare leadership experience ideally garnered in a managed care, provider, and Practice Management. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of healthcare financial and operational data and reporting as well as healthcare technology. Must possess the ability to simultaneously address multiple projects, demands, and issues. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as planning, organizational and conceptual skills.
